Smorgasburg is the largest weekly food market in America, and has been part of the Brooklyn landscape since 2011. This year, VICE partnered with them to bring the market indoors for the winter. With DJs, local food vendors, art, horoscope readings, and more, the first-ever Night Market is everything you need for a night out, all under one cozy roof protected from the wintry waterfront chill. We created a brand identity in partnership with Morning Breath INC and employed a lighthearted illustration style that combined the local, artisanal feel of a carnival with a dark twist that felt truer to Vice. The modular poster system was also easy to resize and animate, making it easy to target audiences who favored drinks or who favored food.
